The idea here is to follow the RECIPE, and when it says "LIQUID" or "SWEETENER" or "SEASONING", you pick ONE ingredient from each of those lists, then assemble the recipe according to the directions, below. You can 'mix 'm match' your ingredients 'til your heart's content ... and get a different flavor each time! [And if I don't have grape jelly, I use blackberry; if I don't have red wine vinegar, I use raspberry or tarragon; if I don't have .... well, you get the idea! ha!]

1In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients; stir well. Store in refrigerator. Makes about 1-1/2 cups. Use to baste chicken, spareribs, lamb, hamburgers, or turkey.
