My family loves this dip, it's got everything... Creamy, sweet, a hint of spice and cheesy! You can use homemade jelly or I buy a jar from our small town grocery store that sells local jellies. We hope you enjoy.

Ingredients For jalapeno jelly dip

  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can
    black beans, rinsed (15 oz)
  • 1/2 jar
jalapeño jelly (8-12 oz - strawberry or peach is my favorite)
  • 1 - 1 1/2 c
shredded cheese (cheddar, Mexican, whatever you have)
  • 5 stalk
    green onions
  • 1 bag
tortilla chips (regular, not thin chips)

How To Make jalapeno jelly dip

  • 1
Gently combine softened cream cheese with rinsed black beans. Spread into a shallow dish (pie plate works great).
  • 2
Spread jelly onto cream cheese mixture, enough to cover the top. Thickness of this layer is based on your preferences. Sprinkle with cheese and then top with green onions.
  • 3
You will need a sturdy tortilla chip to handle the cream cheese, or maybe even Fritos scoops if the dip is put back in the fridge. (Just don't get thin chips :) ) Enjoy!
