I have been serving this to family and friends for 30+ years and haven't met anyone yet that didn't like it. My Grandkids like eating the leftovers like a bowl of chili. Great served with home fried corn tortilla chips!

Ingredients For hot texas dip

2 lblean ground beef
-
1large onion, chopped
-
2 cankidney beans, smashed with juice

1 cankidney beans, drained and rinsed

1 1/2 chot ketchup
-
3 Tbspchili powder
-
2 clovefresh garlic, chopped
- TOPPING
-
2 csharp cheddar cheese (grated)

1/2 conion, finely chopped
-
1 canchopped black olives
How To Make hot texas dip

1Brown the beef over high heat until brown and crumbly. Drain excess grease, lower the heat to medium and add the chopped onion and garlic; continue to cook until the veggies are tender.

2Add in the beans, ketchup (if hot is not avail. I add hot sauce to taste), chili powder, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for a a bit for the flavors to meld. I then put the mixture in a chafing dish.

3Mix the topping ingredients together and sprinkle over the hot mixture and allow the cheese to melt.

4Serve hot with tortilla chips!
