game day ranch flavored wings w/ bacon-ranch dip

I used my son in law and his friends as guinea pigs recently and this is one of the best wings and dip recipes they've ever had....their words!! I never got a pic...those guinea pigs!! I'll get 1 soon though! Finally got pics!! Just wanted to add that personally I find this a little salty, so I add extra sour cream, but the guys seemed to like it as is!

Ingredients For game day ranch flavored wings w/ bacon-ranch dip

  • 1
    1 oz pkg, ranch flavored dressing mix, powdered
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream, i used light
  • 1/2 c
    real mayonnaise, i used light
  • 3 Tbsp
    real bacon bits from hormel
  • 1/2
    celery rib, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp
    mix of black and white pepper
  • 12 lg
    chicken wings, tips discarded if desired
  • 1 tsp
    celery salt
  • 2/3 c
    favorite bbq sauce

How To Make game day ranch flavored wings w/ bacon-ranch dip

    In plastic container, whisk 1/2 of the ranch dressing mix with sour cream, mayonnaise, bacon bits, celery and 1/4 tsp pepper. Cover and refrigerate overnight so flavors blend well.

    Clean and pat dry wings and place in lg resealable plastic bag. Sprinkle w/ celery salt and remaining ranch dressing mix. Seal bag and shake to coat. Refrigerate overnight.

    Heat oven to 400 the next day. Place oven rack in the middle of oven. Line a lg baking sheet w/ thick foil and lightly spary foil w/ cooking spray. Add 1/3 cup BBQ sauce to wings. Toss to coat. Remove wings from bag, place on baking sheet in a single layer. Bake 20 mins. Heat broiler. Brush wings w/ remaining BBQ sauce and broil wings 10 mins more. Serve w/ ranch dipping sauce. Watch them cry!! LOL
