Ingredients For ellen's tangy cheese ball

  • 1 pkg
    ranch salad dressing mix
  • 1/2 c
    hellman's mayonnaise
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 8 oz
    chive cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz
    cheddar cheese, shredded and set out at room temperature for 1 hour
  • 1/2 to 3/4 c
    toasted almonds, sliced or slivered
  • (cheddar cheese may be anything from mild to extra-sharp, depending on your taste.)

How To Make ellen's tangy cheese ball

    In a large bowl, mix together the salad dressing mix, mayonnaise, milk, and cream cheese with an electric mixer.

    Add the cheddar cheese and mix well. Cover and freeze mixture for 30 minutes.

    Shape the cheese into a ball and roll in the toasted almonds. Serve with assorted crackers or chips.
