dip and fried green beans

These are up there with fried pickles and I can.t leave out fried green tomato....Last spring my husband and I went to Red River here in NM and I ordered these off of the menu...As you can tell I fell in cooking and eating love with them. They are so simple and amazing.

Deep Fry
Ingredients For dip and fried green beans

1/2 call purpose flour

1/2 cyellow cornmeal

1/2 cmilk

1/2 tspsea salt

1/4 tspcayenne pepper

1/4 tspgarlic powder

1 lgegg, beaten
-
1 tspbaking powder
-
1 lbgreen beans, fresh

1 qtcooking oil

How To Make dip and fried green beans

1Preheat oil to 375* Tip, wash and pat dry on paper towel (green beans) In a bowl mix all dry ingredients, add milk (stir), add beaten egg (stir) till smooth, no lumps.

2Dip green beans in batter and place in hot oil for 2-3 minutes turning for and even crisp. I use a basket to fry mine in. Do it in batches. They will be golden crisp in color. Drain on a paper towel
