dad's clam dip

This is a recipe that my Dad came up with and he has made it for every Thanksgiving and Christmas for as long as I can remember. It's my favorite dip. My Dad usually eyeballs the ingredients, but I've come up with something a little more exact. Use as much or as little of the worcestshire sauce as you like. I usually pour a thin layer over the dip and blend.

Ingredients For dad's clam dip

  • 3 pkg
    8 oz cream cheese; softened
  • 3 can
    snow's minced clams (reserve a little bit of juice from each can
  • 1 1/2 c
    miracle whip
  • 1/4 c
    garlic; finely chopped
  • worcestershire sauce to taste

How To Make dad's clam dip

  • 1
    Chop head of garlic and soak in hot tap water. While garlic is soaking; mash cream cheese with a fork. Add clams, Miracle Whip and and the chopped garlic. Mix together.

    Pour one fine layer of worcestershire sauce over the dip. Mix together and chill. Preferably overnight. Dip will be lumpy.

    Serve with chips, veggies, and crackers.
