Don't worry it's not that hot if you use Crystal or Franks Hot sauce because the cream cheese mellows it all out! Great with small crusty pieces of French bread.

Ingredients For creole congri dip

1 mdspanish onion - diced

1 mdgreen bell pepper
-
4 clovegarlic minced

1 pkgbacon 16 oz

28 oz packages cream cheese

115 oz can black beans - drained
-
6 ozcrystal or frank's hot sauce

6 oztomato or vegtable juice
How To Make creole congri dip

1In a dutch oven or heavy large pot cook bacon until very crisp, remove, drain, crumble and reserve bacon

2Remove all but 3 tablespoons of bacon fat then add diced onion and bell pepper & cook until well softened

3Add minced garlic,cream cheese, black beans, reserved bacon, hot sauce & tomato juice - blend well

4Pour into large casserole dish and bake at 350 for 30 minutes
