Quick and easy to make, this Mexican dish is a must have. Use it as a dip, a garnish for burgers, sandwiches or for many Mexican dishes.

Ingredients For classic guacamole

  • 2 lg
    avocadoes, stones removed, peeled and cut into pieces
  • 1 Tbsp
    freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    seeded and finely diced tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp
    finely chopped red onions
  • 2 lg
    cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 Tbsp
    cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp
    freshly ground black pepper, or to taste (I always use mixed peppercorns)
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground Himalayan pink salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    hot sauce such as cholula, or to taste

How To Make classic guacamole

  • 1
    In a bowl, add prepared avocadoes and lime juice; mash them using a fork.
  • 2
    Add the remaining ingredients and stir until nicely combined; taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

    Serve immediately or cover and transfer to the fridge until needed.
