I won my first recipe contest with this crab dip recipe in 1980. Do it right - Do NOT use imitation or claw crab meat, BACKFIN only! Do NOT skip the Old Bay seasoning! Taste the authentic dip.

Ingredients For chesapeake crab dip

1 ptsour cream

2 pkg8-oz cream cheese, softened

2 tspground mustard

3 tspworcestershire sauce

1/2 tspgarlic powder

juice of 1 lemon

1/4 cmayonnaise

2 tspold bay seafood seasoning

2 Tbspmilk (optional)

1 lbbackfin crabmeat, picked over

1/2 cextra sharp cheddar cheese
How To Make chesapeake crab dip

1Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

2In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients, in order, given, except milk, crab and cheese.

3Thin mixture with milk (if desired).

4Gently fold in crab meat.

5Scoop into lightly greased 13x9x2-inch baking dish.

6Top with cheese.

7Bake at 45 minutes.

8Serve with snack crackers of choice.
