hot fudge sauce

I have made this recipe to many times to count. It last for a long time in your refrigerator and if sugar crystals form, just microwave it. Is it wonderful over cake or ice cream or ice cream between chocolate cake with sauce on top.

Ingredients For hot fudge sauce

  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 4
    chocolate, unsweetened squares or 12 tablespoons cocoa
  • 3 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Large can
    evaporated milk

How To Make hot fudge sauce

  • 1
    Melt butter in a double boiler; drop in chocolate squares and stir until melted. Add sugar stirring well; add salt. Slowly stir in evaporated milk. Cook in double boiler with water in bottom pan until all sugar is completely dissolved stirring occasionally.
