I always have fun with recipes when my Granddaughters come over. This is simple and flavorful. Also a great way for kiddies to enjoy tuna during Lent. You can substitute halved red grapes also, or use mini muffin pan for great app!

Ingredients For tuna-apple salad toast cups

  • 2 can
    tuna, packed in water 12oz
  • 3 Tbsp
    mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp
    sout cream
  • 1 sm
    sweet apple cut in chunks
  • 1 tsp
    fresh chopped chives
  • 2 sprig
    fresh thyme
  • pinch
    salt and pepper
  • TOAST CUPS
  • 6 slice
    whole grain or 12 grain bread
  • 1/4 c
    melted butter

How To Make tuna-apple salad toast cups

  • 1
    Combine tuna and ingredients and set aside. (Or any way You enjoy your tuna. Made mine simple with apples for kiddies to enjoy)
  • 2
    Take slices of bread and press in muffin pans, Brush each with butter. Place in 400 degree oven for 5-7 minutes till lightly toasted. Pop out and fill with tuna salad. Also makes great app using small bread slices in mini muffin pans.
