I always loved my mom's potato salad the best. I think it's the sweetness of the miracle whip and sugar. My mom's favorite ingredients were sugar and salt which made for some delicious tasting meals.

Ingredients For mom's miracle whip potato salad

  • 5 lb
    potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 6 lg
    eggs hard boiled
  • 1 lg
    red onion diced
  • 1 md
    jar dill pickles chopped
  • 1 md
    jar pimentos drained
  • 1 jar
    miracle whip medium size
  • 1/2 c
    yellow mustard
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    celery seed
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • enough milk to make it desired consistency
  • 2 Tbsp
    paprika

How To Make mom's miracle whip potato salad

    Boil potatoes in salted water until soft. Drain and rinse under cold water until cold.

    Mix in 3 eggs chopped, red onion, dill pickles, and pimentos. Set aside.

    In a separate bowl mix the miracle whip, mustard, sugar, celery seed and salt and pepper. Add enough milk to make desired consistency.

    Slice remaining eggs and arrange over top. Sprinkle with paprika
