I grew up in a big family. My mom would always make this easy and delish macaroni salad. I remember her using a whole jar of miracle whip for the sauce. It was great.

Ingredients For mom's tuna mac salad

  • 16 oz
    elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
  • 14 oz
    can peas drained
  • 1 sm
    can tuna drained
  • 1 lg
    onion chopped
  • 8 lg
    eggs boiled and peeled
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese chopped small
  • 4 c
    miracle whip
  • 1/4 c
    yellow mustard
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    each salt, celery seed, onion powder, and garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/4 c
    milk
  • 2 Tbsp
    paprika

How To Make mom's tuna mac salad

  • 1
    Mix first six ingredients together leaving 3 eggs for topping. Set aside.

    In separate bowl mix remaining ingredients except paprika until smooth. Pour over macaroni mixture and stir until well combined.

    Top with other 3 egg slices and sprinkle paprika on top. Refrigerate until well chilled.
