Have made this for years. It is just a common recipe here in Nebraska. Very simple and delicious. Great for a picnic or tailgate as there is no mayonnaise. A link to the dressing recipe will be in the comment right after the recipe.

Ingredients For dorothy lynch macaroni salad

  • 1 lb
    salad pasta of your choice
  • 1 sm
    onion, diced
  • 1 sm
    green pepper, diced
  • 2 stalk
    celery, diced
  • 2 c
    frozen peas, thawed and drained
  • 2 c
    diced ham (salami works too)
  • dorothy lynch salad dressing or other sweet type french dressing (recipe link to follow in comments)
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make dorothy lynch macaroni salad

  • 1
    Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and chill with cold water. Drain well. (The cook time is for the pasta.)

    Combine all other ingredients except dressing and salt and pepper.

    Add dressing to moisten. Mix well. Chill for several hours. Adjust seasoning and stir before serving.
