A chef salad is one of my favorites. I usually always have the ingredients and it's always so tasty and satisfying. I split it with my kids or hubby. Delicious!

Ingredients For ~ chef salad ~ my favorite mix

  • 1/2
    head lettuce ( broken apart )or 2 cups of romaine
  • 1/4 c
    frozen peas, thawed
  • 2 - 3 slice
    provolone cheese, shredded or matchsticked
  • 2 - 3 oz
    cheddar cheese from a block, sliced into matchsticks
  • 6 slice
    pickled beets, sliced
  • 2
    hard boiled eggs, i used a pickled and a plain, sliced or quartered
  • 1/4 c
    match stick carrots
  • 1/2
    cucumber, sliced thin
  • 2 - 3 oz
    ham & turkey, cubed ( i have the deli slice me a 1 pound slice of each )
  • red
    onion, sliced thin
  • cherry
    tomatoes
  • 1/4
    red pepper, sliced thin
  • salt
    & pepper to taste and your favorite dressing

How To Make ~ chef salad ~ my favorite mix

    Place your prepared lettuce evenly on a platter. Arrange all of the toppings how you choose. I try to make it pretty, as you eat with your eyes...LOL Salt & pepper, add favorite dressing and dig in!
