Ingredients For apricot salad

  • 29 oz
    can apricots, drained (reserve juice)
  • 16 oz
    can pineapple tidbits, drained (reserve juice)
  • 2 pkg
    knox gelatin
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 12 oz
    orange juice
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    pineapple juice
  • 1/2 c
    apricot juice
  • TOPPING
  • 1/2 c
    pineapple juice
  • 1/2 c
    apricot juice
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 c
    whipped topping

How To Make apricot salad

  • 1
    Soften Knox in water.
  • 2
    Heat to dissolve.
  • 3
    Add rest of ingredients. Pour into 2 quart dish. Chill completely.

    For Topping: Cook all ingredients, except whipped topping, over low heat until thick. Stirring constantly.
  • 5
    Cool and add whipped topping and spread over chilled jello mixture.
