This recipe has been in my family for years. I love all the cruncy vegetables that she uses in the recipe. I have tried all kinds of potato salad, but none are as good as this.

Ingredients For mom's potato salad

  • 6-8 c
    diced peeled cooked potatoes
  • 6
    hard cooked eggs, chopped (remove yolks for dressing)
  • 1/2 c
    chopped celery
  • 1/2 c
    sweet pickle relish
  • 1/3 c
    chopped red onion
  • 1/3 c
    chopped radishes
  • 1/2 c
    salad dressing
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    prepared mustard
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt and pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • paprika, optional

How To Make mom's potato salad

  • 1
    In a bowl, combine potatoes,eggs,celery,onions,radishes and sweet pickle relish. In another bowl, combine salad dressing,sugar,mustard,egg yolk,salt & pepper; mix well. Pour over potato mixture; stir to coat. Chill. Sprinkle with paprika if desired.
