My friends and family love my version of macaroni salad. I added a few things that make it a bit different. They always ask if I will bring it to group gatherings, and I never have to put any away.

Ingredients For macaroni salad with a hawaiian twist

16 0z boxseashell macaroni cooked 1 red

1red bell pepper minced

1green bell pepper minced
-
2stalks celery minced
-
1/2red onion minced
-
1 cancrushed pineapple
-
1 lbbay shrimp (fresh)

1hellman's mayonaise
-
2 Tsugar
-
1Twhite vinegar
-
1 tspsea salt
-
1/8 tspfresh ground black pepper
How To Make macaroni salad with a hawaiian twist

1boil pasta until al dente (don't overcook pasta or it will get mushy) drain and cool

2mince first four ingredients (red and green peppers, celery, and red onion)add to pasta

3open and drain the pineapple (save the juice) add pineapple to pasta and vege's.

4add shrimp and stir gently to mix all

5put mayonaise, sugar, vinegar, and salt and pepper in measuring cup and mix well. Then add to pasta and vegetable shrimp mixture. Mix gently and adjust to taste. (some of the pineapple juice can also be added to taste but not too much or it will become too soggy.

6cover, place in refrigerator to chill thoroughly which will blend the flavors. adjust the salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy.
