This is a different macaroni salad and the secret ingredient is the sweetened condensed milk. It makes a nice presentation too. Very tasty!

Ingredients For macaroni salad

  • 16 oz
    macaroni, cooked
  • 4
    carrots, grated
  • 1
    sweet onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    red pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    green pepper, chopped
  • 2 c
    mayonnaise (do not substitute)
  • 14 oz
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 - 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    white vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make macaroni salad

  • 1
    Combine macaroni, carrots, onion and peppers in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, milk, sugar and vinegar. Pour over macaroni and vegetables. Salt and pepper to taste. Chill at least 8 hours before serving to allow the dressing to thicken. Mix well before serving. ENJOY!
