I created a recipe for macaroni salad that will be out of your mind. I made a creamy honey mustard dressing. It's perfect with baked or fried chicken.

Ingredients For honey mustard macaroni salad

  • 16 oz
    package dry elbow macaroni
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 3
    banana pepper, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp
    seasoned pepper, divided
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 3/4 c
    mayonnaise
  • 3/4 c
    whipped cream cheese
  • 3 Tbsp
    honey mustard
  • 1 md
    red onion, chopped
  • 2 md
    carrots, grated
  • 3/4 c
    chopped honey roasted peanuts

How To Make honey mustard macaroni salad

    Cook macaroni in a large pot of boiling water until al dente. Drain; rinse in cold water. Set aside.

    Heat olive oil in a large deep skillet over medium heat. Add sliced banana peppers and saute for 3 minutes or until tender.

    Season with 1 tablespoon seasoned pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.

    In a medium bowl, whisk heavy cream, mayonnaise, whipped cream cheese, honey mustard, and remaining seasoned pepper together until combined.

    In a large bowl, combine cooked macaroni, sauteed banana peppers, chopped red onion, grated carrots, and chopped nuts.

    Stir in dressing and mix well. Refrigerate before serving.
