This is a great slaw! We put it on our bbq pork sandwiches,hamburgers and brats,its just so good! Make this slaw up ahead of time to let the flavors all come together!

Ingredients For wilted cabbage

  • 1 sm
    cabbage, finely shredded ( 6 cups )
  • 1 lg
    onion,finely chopped
  • 1 md
    green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 md
    red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    white vinegar
  • 1 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1 tsp
    celery seeds

How To Make wilted cabbage

  • 1
    Combine the first 4 ingredients; add 3/4 cup of sugar, and toss well.

    Combine vinegar and remaining 5 ingredients in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Boil 1 minute. Pour hot dressing over cabbage mixture; toss well.

    Cover and chill at least 8 hours, tossing occasionally. Serve with a slotted spoon. 6-8 servings
