This Tomato Salad combines the best of summer’s harvest with sun-ripened tomatoes, sweet red onions, garlic and fresh basil in a simple oil and vinegar dressing.

Ingredients For tomato salad

  • 2 lg
    ripe tomatoes diced
  • 1 c
    halved grape or cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 c
    thinly sliced red onion
  • 2 clove
    garlic minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh torn basil
  • 1/4 tsp
    dried marjoram
  • 3 Tbsp
    extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    red wine vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make tomato salad

    In a large bowl combine the tomatoes, red onion, garlic, basil, and marjoram together.

    Drizzle with olive oil and vinegar; toss gently to coat. Season with salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste. Let the salad rest for 15-20 minutes before serving.
