    red wine vinegar

    dijon mustard
  • 1
    clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 1/2 c
    halved pear tomatoes
  • 4
    medium tomatoes,cut into 1/2-inch wedges
  • 6
    large fresh basil leaves,cut into slender ribbons

How To Make tomato basil salad

    For the vinaigrette,whisk together the vinegar, mustard,garlic,salt,and pepper in a small bowl.

    Add the oil in a slow stream,whisking until the dressing is emulsified

    Place tomatoes in a large serving bowl.

    Pour the vinaigrette over the tomatoes,add the basil, and toss gently to mix well and coat evenly.
