A very different slaw. I've noticed cottage cheese making a comeback and found this recipe in my mom's old recipe box.

Ingredients For sweet and sour fruit slaw

1 ccottage cheese

1/4 cmilk

3 Tbsplemon juice

2 Tbspvegetable oil

2 Tbsphoney

1 smcabbage, coarsely shredded

1 mdred delicious apple, unpeeled and chopped

1 cseedless red or green grapes, halved

1 canmandarin oranges (11 ounce), drained

1/4 craisins
-
red delish apple wedges, to garnish (optional)
How To Make sweet and sour fruit slaw

1Combine the cottage cheese, milk, lemon juice, vegetable oil, and honey in the container of an electric blender or food processor, and process until smooth. Set cottage cheese mixture aside.

2Place cabbage, chopped apple, grapes, oranges, and raisins in a large bowl; toss gently to combine. Pour the reserved cottage cheese mixture over the cabbage mixture; toss gently to combine.

3Cover and chill thoroughly. Garnish, if desired.
