This cabbage salad is not only pretty when served in a crystal bowl, but it tastes exactly like the one they serve at the North Woods Restaurant, a trendy spot here in Southern Cal.

Ingredients For red cabbage salad (tnt)

  • 1/2 head of red cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 t. red wine vinegar
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1 t. seasoned salt
  • 1/4 t. black pepper
  • 1/4 t. onion powder

How To Make red cabbage salad (tnt)

    Shred cabbage so it is irregular, some fine and some coarse shreds into bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. let stand for overnight to allow flavors to mellow and slaw to achieve a deep red color. If you have one serving, you will definitely want more!
