This is a wonderfully easy, tasty salad that has an unusual ingredient: Popcorn! It was the rave hit of a couples gathering we attended. Try it you'll love it too!

Ingredients For popcorn salad

  • 10 slice
    bacon, fried crisp, and crumbled
  • 3/4 c
    mayonaise
  • 1 c
    celery, chopped, and diced
  • 1 1/4 c
    shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 (8 oz) can
    sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1/4 c
    shredded carrots
  • 2 Tbsp
    minced chives
  • 6 c
    popped popcorn

How To Make popcorn salad

  • 1
    Fry, and crumble bacon, setting aside.

    In a large bowl, mayonnaise, chopped, diced celery, half of the shredded cheddar cheese, drained sliced water chestnuts, shredded carrots, and minced chives. Mix well.

    Add popcorn, and stir to coat.

    Top with rest of the shredded cheese, and the crumbled bacon. Serve with a smile!:D
