I take this to summer pitch-ins for something different. It is a fun twist on slaw and the ramen noodles and almonds provide a great texture against the cabbage.

Ingredients For oriental slaw

1 lbcabbage, shredded

2 pkgramen noodles
-
1 pkgalmonds, slivered (2 ounces)

1/4 cbutter
-
1 cvinegar
-
1 coil
-
3/4 csugar

2 Tbspsoy sauce

2green onions, chopped
How To Make oriental slaw

1Remove seasoning packets from ramen noodles and set aside.

2Crumble ramen noodles.

3In a skillet, over medium heat, cook noodles and almonds in butter until lightly browned. Set aside.

4Combine vinegar, oil, sugar, soy sauce, and season packets from ramen noodles in a jar. Close, shake well, then refrigerate.

5Immediately before serving, toss together noodle mixture, dressing, onions and cabbage.
