I found this recipe so many years ago in the recipe section of my home town paper and had to try it. My family, friends and even the grandchildren love this salad. I alway have to double the recipe when the gang is over. It is that good. Enjoy!

Ingredients For my spinach salad with creamy mushroom dressing

  • cream of mushroom salad dressing:
  • 1 can
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 c
    tarragon vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 1/4 tsp
    celery seed
  • 1/4 tsp
    marjoram
  • 1 tsp
    dry mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • dash of worcestershire sauce
  • salad:
  • 1
    (10 ounce) package of washed, trimmed spinach, torn into bite-size pieces (i use baby spinach)

    strips bacon, crisp fried and crumbled or in pieces which ever you prefer.

    hard boiled eggs, peeled and sliced
  • 1 md
    onion, ( i prefer red onion ) sliced into rings
  • sliced mushroom (optional)

How To Make my spinach salad with creamy mushroom dressing

    For Dressing; beat ingredients together in a bowl.

    Pour into a sauce pan and heat over medium heat while stirring until mixture is smooth.

    Remove from heat and set aside to cool.

    For Salad; assemble the ingredients in layers in a large salad bowl and salt and pepper to taste.

    Pour cooled salad dressing over and toss gently.

    Goes well with any meal!
