Being raised in Maryland my parents always used old bay seasoning on crabs & shrimp..........so why not in the shrimp salad.

Ingredients For my maryland shrimp salad

3/4 lbshrimp (30-40 count

1/4 ccup mayonnaise ( i use hellmans)

4 tspdiced celery

1 Tbspgreen onion, green parts only, diced

3/4 tspold bay seasoning

1 pinchcelery seed
-
1/8 tspgarlic powder
-
1/8 tspparsley
-
1/2 tsplemon juice
How To Make my maryland shrimp salad

1Heat 1-2 cups of water to a boil over a steamer basket. Add the shrimp and steam until just cooked -- 4 minutes should do it. Cool shrimp.

2and de-vein the shrimp and slice lengthwise (or leave them whole)

3Combine the shrimp and the remaining ingredients in a bowl. Chill for an hour or up to 24 hours. Serve in a bowl, on white bread with lettuce and tomato. We like ours on mini bagels.
