I loved it when my mom used to make this in the summertime. This is approximately how she made it.

Ingredients For mom's kidney bean salad

1 1/2 ckidney beans, rinsed and drained (1 can)

1/3 ccelery, finely chopped

1/4 conion, finely chopped

1/4 cmayonnaise (light is ok)

1/2 Tbspsugar

1 Tbspvinegar

1/2 - 1 tspsalt (or to taste)

1/8 - 1/4 tsppepper (or to taste)
How To Make mom's kidney bean salad

1Put rinsed and drained kidney beans (either light or dark) into a bowl.

2Gently stir in rest of the ingredients. I would use the smaller amount of salt and pepper, taste, and then adjust.

3Let chill for an hour before serving.
