This slaw is so good and easy to make. I found it in a church cookbook. My Mother is a big fan of this!

Ingredients For marinated slaw

  • 1
    cabbage, shredded or buy a bag shredded
  • 1
    bell pepper, chopped
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 3/4 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/4 c
    vinegar

How To Make marinated slaw

  • 1
    Shred cabbage or use bag already shredded. Add black pepper, onions and bell pepper. Sprinkle with 2 teaspoons sugar and set aside. Mix other ingredients in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Then pour over cabbage mixture. Refrigerate overnight. Serve when ready. This recipe will keep up to 7 days in the refrigerator. Very good!
