Ingredients For l . a . slaw

  • 5 c
    coarsly shredded green cabbage
  • 2 c
    coarsly shredded red cabbage
  • 1 c
    grated carrot
  • 3/4 c
    thinly sliced celery
  • 1/4 c
    vinegar
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    canola oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp
    celery seed
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper

How To Make l . a . slaw

    Place first four ingredients in a very large bowl and toss until well mixed.

    To prepare dressing, combine vinegar,sugar,oil,dijon mustard, celery seeds, salt and pepper in a small saucepan. Heat over medium-high heat until mixture comes to a boil and sugar dissolves.

    Add to cabbage mixture and stir until well blended. Cover and chill at least 2 hours before serving. Preferably overnight. Enjoy!
