horiatiki - the real greek salad
(3 ratings)
Horitiki is also known as a Village Salad. It's the most famous salad in Greece. No lettuce. Ever. Some people in our family don't use the vinegar, instead mixing the olive oil with a bit of water.

4Note: Most often we don't plate this individually, and everyone just uses their forks to help themselves. We also take thick crusty bread and dip it in the oil & vinegar dressing that goes to the bottom of the bowl.
