green pea and cheese salad, my way

This recipe came from a cookbook, but I altered it to make it my own. I have several pea salad recipes, this one with the cheese is good!

Ingredients For green pea and cheese salad, my way

  • 10 oz
    frozen peas
  • 1 c
    cubed cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c
    diced celery (i omit)
  • 1/4 c
    sliced radishes (eeeww, i omit)
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped onion (i increase)
  • 3 Tbsp
    sweet pickles (bread & butter)
  • 3
    hard boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1/3 c
    mayo (can use mayo or miracle whip, to your preference)

How To Make green pea and cheese salad, my way

  • 1
    Thaw peas in colander with cold water, drain well. This keeps them chilled. Add remaining ingredients. Chill 1 hour at least, overnight is much better.
