Ingredients For cucumbers and vinegar

  • 2 md
    cucumbers, washed, scored and thinly sliced
  • 6 - 8
    radishes, ends trimmed, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1 md
    sweet or red onion, peeled and thinly sliced into rings
  • 1 1/2 c
    white vinegar
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1/4 c
    sugar, or to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make cucumbers and vinegar

  • 1
    Wash the cucumbers and score with a fork or remove part of the skin.
  • 2
    Place the cucumbers, onions and radishes, if using, in a medium bowl.
  • 3
    In a separate bowl, mix the vinegar, water and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.

    Pour vinegar mixture over the cucumbers. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
