Ingredients For cold cucumber salad

  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    white vinegar
  • 1-1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    celery seed
  • 1/4 c
    vegetable oil
  • 5 c
    cucumber slices (small kirby or thin cukes work best)
  • 1 md
    sweet onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 lg
    yellow bell pepper,thinly sliced

How To Make cold cucumber salad

  • 1
    Bring the salt, vinegar, sugar, celery seed and veg.oil to a boil in med. saucepan. Remove the pan from the heat and allow to cool.

    In large bowl, toss the sliced cukes, onions and peppers with the liquid mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hrs.or up to next day. Serve cold.
