This is an attractive and tasty alternative to lettuce and slaw. It's tangy nutty taste combines perfectly with almost any entree.

Ingredients For broccoli salad

  • 2 lb
    broccoli cut into small pieces
  • 1 c
    sunflower kernels
  • 1 c
    peanuts
  • 1 c
    raisins
  • 1/4 c
    finely chopped sweet onion
  • 8-10 slice
    bacon cooked and crumbled
  • DRESSING
  • 1 c
    mayonaise
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp
    dry mustard

How To Make broccoli salad

  • 1
    Combine broccoli, raisins, and onions. In a small bowl mix mayo, sugar and vinegar. Pour over broccoli mixture and toss to coat. Refrigerate. Just before serving sprinkle with bacon, sunflower kernels and peanuts. Toss and serve. (Any nut can be substituted for peanuts. I like pecans also.)
