One of my best friends made this recipe for one of our group's driveway parties...kind of our version of a tail gate party. She said it is an old Czechoslovakian recipe that her family has made for years. When I saw it, I had to try it and LOVED it as did everyone else at the party. It's one of those that, had I read the recipe, I would never have tried. The mix of ingredients just does not sound good to me, but it is delicious! Her recipe called for spanish peanuts, but she substituted chopped walnuts. I did try it with the peanuts and didn't care for it that way.

Ingredients For broccoli salad

1 bunchbroccoli, cut into bite sized pieces

1/2 mdpurple onion, chopped

1/2 lbbacon, cooked crisp and crumbled

6 to 8 ozchopped walnuts

1 cgolden raisins
- DRESSING

1 cmiracle whip

1/4 csugar

3 Tbspvinegar
How To Make broccoli salad

1Mix the first five ingredients well. Mix dressing ingredients well with a wire whisk and pour over salad. Toss to coat.
