I ate a salad similar to this at one of the potlucks at Monroe Surgical Hospital. I could not find out who brought it, so I just copied the recipe as good as I could remember.

Ingredients For broccoli grape salad

8 slicebacon

3 bunchgreen onions, chopped

1/2 cgreen bell peppers, chopped

1 bunchbroccoli, broken into florets

1/2 cred grapes, cut into halves

1/2 ccelery, chopped fine

1/2 cpurple onion, chopped fine

3/4 cpecans, toasted and chopped

1/2 csugar
-
1 cmayonnaise
-
3 Tbspred wine vinegar

1 tsplemon juice
-
1/2 tspsalt
How To Make broccoli grape salad

1Place bacon in a large deep skillet. Cook over medium heat until crispy brown. Drain, crumble and set aside.

2In a large bowl, combine broccoli, grapes, onions, celery, and bell pepper.

3Whisk mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, lemon juice, and salt together.

4Toss with broccoli mixture and chill. Just before serving, add the crumbled bacon and toasted pecans.
