The wife of my former boss gave me this recipe years ago. I broke it out earlier this summer for the first time in a long time. I've made it three times this summer. It can be a main dish salad if you cut up and add cooked chicken to it.

Ingredients For asian cabbage salad
- FOR THE SALAD:

1 lghead of green cabbage

1 cfinely chopped celery

8chopped green onions

8 Tbsptoasted, slivered almonds

2 pkguncooked ramen noodles broken up
- FOR THE DRESSING:

4 Tbspsugar
-
1 tspsalt

1 tsppepper
-
2 pkgramen noodle seasoning packets

2 tsptoasted sesame oil

1 csalad oil (aka vegetable oil)

6 Tbsprice vinegar
How To Make asian cabbage salad

1Shred cabbage, chop celery and onion and mix together.

2Toast almonds under broiler or in a frying pan on the stove top and combine with broken up ramen noodles.

3Mix dressing ingredients together.

4Just before serving mix vegetables, almonds, noodles and dressing all together and serve immediately.
