24 hour slaw

Many years ago, someone in the family collected recipes from descendants of my great grandparents, William M. and Florence E. (Snodgrass) Whaley and had them compiled into a cookbook. I am posting those recipes here so that they will not be lost. This recipe was submitted by Wanda Schomp.

Ingredients For 24 hour slaw

3/4 coil

1 capple cider vinegar

2 Tbspsugar

1cabbage head

34/ csugar

1 dashsalt

1 lgonion, diced

1 Tbspcelery seed

1green bell pepper, diced
How To Make 24 hour slaw

1Combine oil, vinegar and 2 tablespoons sugar in saucepan; bring to a boil

2Shred cabbage; add 3/4 cup sugar, salt, diced onion, diced pepper and celery seed.

3Pour heated dressing over slaw mixture and refrigerate (overnight, if possible).
