Save the eggs to make breakfast in the morning, and just use the shells to make these great Easter Eggs!

    eggs
  • 2
    envelopes unflavored gelatin (i use knox)
  • 3 oz
    fruit flavored gelatin
  • 1 1/2 c
    water

How To Make mom's jello easter eggs

    To prepare egg shells, use a large needle and pierce wide end of egg. Tap with needle to make a 1/2 inch wide hole in shell. Stick needle into egg and break yolk. Empty eggs into a bowl and carefully rinse and thoroughly air dry the shells.

    Combine gelatins in mixing bowl. Add boiling water and stir until dissolved. Let cool 10 min. Using a measuring cup, carefully fill shells with gelatin and place in egg carton hole side up.

    Refrigerate 5 hours or overnight until firm. To peel, remove the shell then the membrane. For easier peeling drop quickly into warm water before peeling.
