Another Jello dish that is popular at holidays in my hometown, especially with my Tanner friends. They just call it "The Green Stuff." My Southern friends call it "Lime Nut Congealed Salad." We just call it "delicious." =^..^=

Ingredients For lime nut jello surprise

  • 1
    large (6 oz.) package of lime jello mix
  • 2 c
    boiling water
  • 1 1/2 c
    cold water (or use the pineapple juice as part of this)
  • 8 oz
    block of cream cheese
  • 20 oz
    can of crushed pineapple, well-drained
  • 1 c
    walnut pieces

How To Make lime nut jello surprise

    Boil 2 cups of water. In a medium-sized bowl, stir together the boiling water and the lime Jello mix. With a fork, blend the cream cheese into the hot mixture until it's in tiny pieces.

    Add the cold water, drained pineapple, and walnuts. Mix well.

    Pour into a 8 x 8" pan and refrigerate until set.
