This recipe was given to my by a co-worker. It's a great dish for a cookout but when you mix it together you need to eat it very soon after. Otherwise it gets a tad soggy.. but the kids ask for it over and over again.

Ingredients For taco salad

  • 1 lb
    hamburger
  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning mix
  • 1
    lettuce head
  • 2
    tomato
  • 8 oz
    mexican blend shredded cheese
  • 1
    bag doritos
  • 1 bottle
    catalina dressing

How To Make taco salad

    Brown burger then drain. Follow package directions on the taco seasoning. Put in refrigerator to cool.

    While cooling meat cut up lettuce and tomato in preperation for the salad.

    Once meat is cooled add as much lettuce, tomato, cheese, and slightly crushed Doritos. The amount of each that you want in the salad. Everyones tastes are different.

    Once everything is tossed together add Catalina Dressing. I use 1/2 to full bottle depending on the size of salad. Toss again to mix dressing with ingredients.
