My Mother In Law introduced me to this delicious salad. It is the most requested salad at holidays by my husband and kids.

Ingredients For pea salad

  • 2 can
    peas, canned
  • 8 oz
    swiss cheese, grated
  • 1 pkg
    lettuce, shredded
  • 8 slice
    bacon, cooked
  • 3/4 c
    mayonnaise
  • pinch
    salt and pepper
  • 1/4 c
    onion

How To Make pea salad

  • 1
    Cook bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towel until cool. Crumble into bacon bits. Combine lettuce, drained canned peas, onion, bacon bits, grated swiss cheese and salt and pepper to taste. Gently stir in mayonnaise adding more if needed to aquire desired consistancy. Chill for 2 hours minimum, preferably overnight so that flavors can marry. Serve cold. Enjoy
