I remember my mom making this for us even before I ever saw 7-layer salads sold at the grocery store.

Ingredients For overnight 7-layer green salad

  • 1 lg
    bag salad greens or spinich
  • 1 bunch
    diced scallions (use both green and white parts)
  • 1/2 lb
    crisp, drained bacon (or 1 jar bacon bits)
  • 4 lg
    boiled eggs, diced
  • 8 oz
    frozen peas, uncooked
  • 1 c
    sour crea
  • 1 c
    mayo
  • 1 pkg
    hidden valley ranch mix
  • 2 c
    shredded cheese

How To Make overnight 7-layer green salad

  • 1
    Mix sour cream, mayo and Hidden Valley mix together.

    In a large bowl, layer salad in the following order: lettuce scallions bacon boiled eggs peas dressing mixture cheese
  • 3
    Refrigerate overnight (or for approx 8 hours) before serving. Ingredients and/or quantities can be adjusted to taste
