One of my mom's favorite salads. We make it all the time for company.

Ingredients For mom's spinach salad

  • 1 lb
    spinach
  • 1 bunch
    bean sprouts
  • 1 can
    water chestnuts
  • 3-4
    hard boiled eggs
  • 6-8 slice
    bacon
  • 1 c
    canola oil
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/3 c
    ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 c
    vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    worsteshire
  • 1
    small onion grated to taste

How To Make mom's spinach salad

    Cook bacon and chop. Cook eggs, peel and slice. Drain water chestnuts.

    Make dressing: Combine oil, sugar, ketchup, salt, vinegar,worsteshire, grated onion in a blender. Make dressing.

    In a bowl combine, spinach, bacon, eggs, sprouts, and chestnuts. Pour dressing right before serving. It makes a lot of dressing so use to your preference.
