We make many versions of Layered Lettuce Salad, however, this one was the original recipe we made in Eagle River, and I always wanted some variety of it for my birthday dinner. Easy to put together, easy to transport, and oh so yummy!

1head lettuce, torn into bite sized pieces

1 cchopped green pepper

1 smchopped onion

1 cchopped celery

1 cmayonnaise

2 Tbspsugar

1 boxfrozen peas

bacos or crumbled bacon

1 cshredded cheddar
-
1 canwater chesnuts (8 oz, sliced saves time)
How To Make layered lettuce salad (original recipe)

1Layer vegetables in 9x13. Coat with mayo, sugar, bacon, then cheese. Refrigerate 4 or more hours.
