Ingredients For 24 hour/seven-layer salad

  • 12 oz
    bag of iceberg salad mix
  • 1/2 c
    red onions, chopped
  • 1 c
    celery
  • 1 sm
    bag of frozen peas, sprinkled over celery
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1 c
    shredded sharp cheddar cheese(not finely grated)
  • 1 lb
    crisp bacon, crumbled

How To Make 24 hour/seven-layer salad

    Place salad mix, red onions, celery and peas in the bottom of a large glass salad bowl. Mix sugar with mayonnaise to create salad dressing, and spread mixture over peas as if it were icing. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top, followed by bacon.

    Cover dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours. Mix when ready to serve.
